Apple Media Event Inivtation
As you know, the Apple media event is around the corner, on Tuesday, October 23, with a November 2 launch. Among a few upgrades to the iMac, Mac Mini, and possibly a 13" MacBook Pro Retina, I am certainly the most excited about the iPad Mini.
The Mini should have similar specs to the iPad 2 and there is even the possibility that Apple will completely drop the iPad 2 as an offering. However, after the alleged price of $329 hit yesterday, the speculations about dropping the iPad 2 may be null and void.
I'm most excited about the new iPad Mini because the iPad (3rd gen) in my house is not my iPad; it is my wife's iPad. In addition, when I do get it away from my Pinteresting wife, it has always seemed too heavy for my taste. It is much more a two-handed device, as opposed to a one-hand device. The Mini will primarily be used to consume news and reviews, which keeps me on top of the industry. To consume the latest news I heavily rely on Flipboard to pull all of my information into one easy to read location.
As we get closer to Tuesday, I get more and more nervous about whether it will be a Retina iPad Mini. It will be difficult to go from a beautiful iPhone 5 screen during the day to an iPad 2-ish screen at night. First world problems. But ...here's hoping.
Either way, I'm certain I will be picking one up to make sure I can continue to provide product reviews for my review section of iDownloadBlog!
